Saturday, my tissue looked ok after I took it out of the bell jar. I left it to warm up so it could be trimmed on Sunday.
After I went home, I had some hotdogs and started to watch 'Tristram Shandy: A Cock and Bull Story'. It was quite amusing even though Steve Coogan is a dork. A very pregnant Keeley Hawes was lovely, even though she was screaming half the time. There was a very funny sequence equating her character with one of Pavlov's dogs. Apparently she'd get all "warmed up", as it were, whenever her husband would wind the clock because after he woulnd the clock he'd give it to her good! There was another funny spot where a young Tristram gets his dick caught by a falling window cuz he was pissin' out of it. Ouch!
I took a nap in the middle of the movie, though I don't remember how good it was. When I woke up I finished the movie and then talked to Saint who was clanging downstairs with his new "lady friend", Ryan. I love girls with boy names! She is a doctor somewhere north of Indy. She is my favorite so far of the girls I have seen him with. She was interesting and friendly, not to mention tall and pretty darn cute. They were making salsa and guacamole while RC (the Jewish doggy) was laying on the floor begging for attention. I let them borrow some DVDs, but I don't know what if anything they watched.
I talked to Kailea. She asked me where he meets these girls and why the hell they like him. I am not sure. He has this magical power to never be without a girlfriend. I think I need to steal his mojo. Hmm...Maybe not. He did knock one up, and that one + the first I met were apparently crazy.
I finished watching the movie, fed Eddie his grody smelling wet cat food, and had some fantastic chocolate cake! I watch some MadTV for a bit. They made fun of the new "Survivor" and 'High School Musical'. I ended up staying up pretty late and watching an old episode of "Smallville" that was on tv.
That night I slept ok, not too much snot, and no drooling. I woke up at 10, which surprised me since I didn't go to sleep until like 3:30 or something. I had a fantastic breakfast of, well you won't believe me, tea (mmm...chai latte) and crumpets with black raspberry preserves. I love the chai lattes I make. They are sweet enough to induce diabetes. I make really strong chai tea and then pour a ton of honey in it (splenda is pretty good too) and stir it. I refrigerate it until it is very cold. I add cinnamon and nutmeg and stir it again. I fill my tall travel bullet bottle (from Starbucks) up halfway with the tea mixture, I fill it the rest of the way with milk, close the bottle, and then shake it with the fervor of a British nanny to stir it up nice. It is sooooooo good.
Anyways, during the breakfast I watched 'L'Auberge Espagnole'. It was as good as I heard it was. I had to watch it because the sequal, 'Russian Dolls' comes out on DVD soon. Cecile de France is so hot. She has played a lesbian at least twice to my knowledge and looks fantastic with very short hair. Mmmm...could she be one of "us"??? Let's see if she bowls!
After playing on the computer for a bit, I went to the videostore to get more crap to watch. I ended up with 2 scary-ish movies. The first one I watched was 'Tamara'. It was decent. A bunch of cool kids accidentally kill a nerd girl (who got the jocks drug tested) while trying to embarrass her making her think she was having a sexy rendezvous with the teacher she is in love with. Well, chica is a witch and comes back to life all super-sexy and takes revenge. The best part is when she makes the two jocks fuck each other. They don't show anything graphic, but they should have. Anyways, Mr. teacher man kills her and himself to keep her from continuing her rampage.
Dinner! End of the hotdogs. So yummy! After the doggers I watched "The Simpsons". It was funny. Bart became a jazz drummer. "American Dad" was even funnier. Steve became a man-orexic.
I switched over to watch "The Amazing Race", cuz it is fun to watch these dorks run all over and eat weird foreign food, and it had already started. Bastards! Oh well, the cute Italian lesbo and her homo-hating daddy came in third place so far. In one episode they eliminated some black Muslims and some brown Hindus. And out the window the ethnic diversity for this show went!
After the show I watched the other movie I rented: "The Plague". It was kind of crappy (ie. worst zombie movie ever!). Basically, one year for some reason all children under the age of 9 go all catatonic, and for the next ten years they stay that way and any new babies born are the same way. Well, one day they all wake up, kind of, and go on a zombie-like killing spree, only with no flesh-eating. James Van der Geek (ha!) was petulent and useless in this movie.
Well, after the latent baby zombies I had some crazy zombie dreams. Very odd stuff.
Today, I was not too tired when I woke up. I am very mad at Eddie as he tried to steal and eat my glasses again. Kailea is right, maybe I should kill him. But I can't, he's my little poofty-poo!!!
At school, fantastically boring Histology + lab. The girl with the nice rack that sits behind me was wearing a sweatshirt so I had nothing to look at. Her name is Harmony, I think. Um, I would not trust a doctor named Harmony. Maybe a naughty nurse though. I went to bother Beth during lab and watched some "Robot Chicken" on her computer. "Who poop rast?!". So fucking funny. Apparently that is what her and her friend shout over the phone at each other. Recently he called her and someone else answered and they were all confused when he said "who poop rast" so he hung up and told Beth about it later.
Then time to teach. I forgot or neglected (same difference) to grade quizzes and lab reports for my class today. I graded and pretended to be helpful while Youssef blah blah blahed at them about balances, pipettes, pH paper, and spectrophotomers. Man, my students are dumb! They did ok on the quiz, but horrible on thei lab report/ turn in garbage. I was shocked.
So after lab with Youssef, it was time for me and Swapna to teach. I gave out the quiz, and Swapna never showed up! So I called the lab coordinator and she came in to help (ie.take over the whole lab). That was fine by me, less time to explain shit to my little froshies.
Haha! When they turned in their quizzes I gave them back their graded crap (though I wish I could have balled it up and thrown it at them!) they got impatient with me. I told them to hang on, this is the only way to do it cuz I don't know any of your names. I can see loads of TA evaluations saying that I often get short with them (= I am a raging beotch!). After lab I quickly did something way bitchy. Since the doors were open, the next labs students started to come in. 3 came in but I kicked them all out saying I did not have time to "play babysitter" until the next TA, whoever the hell it was, showed up.
After the bitch-fit, I found George and dragged him over to the Med building to figure shit out with Angie about the BBC thing. Tomorrow will be so busy with snake crap it is not even funny. Just 4 more days til I am in North Carolina with my friends!
Saint and some other grads came up with the idea of meeting once per week to discuss our research and get ideas / solutions to problems from each other. I think that is pretty cool. Today they were talking about drunken ideas for a project idea involving birds, bats, hibernation, and migration stuff. Pretty nifty.
Now I am here blogging before I erase the last few days from my very full brain. I have to go to the video store to drop off those 2 movies, and then I am going to eat and veg; but not eat veg. Haha!
Random fact of the day: I still have yet to pluck my eyebrows. They have been ignored for like 7 weeks now. They really are starting to look like my fathers, minus his antennae-like ones.
